How to activate / enable co-existence facility? Or what is needed to be done after upgrading from Tally 7.2 to Tally 9 Rel 3 Beta? |

To work concurrently on both the licenses i.e., Tally 7.2 and Tally 9 Rel 3 Beta, follow the steps mentioned below: |

Install Tally 9 Rel 3 Beta on the machine where Tally 7.2 is installed and activate it. |
|
2. |
Run Tally 9 and Activate the license. |
|
3. |
Then, run Tally 7.2 |
|
4. |
Update your Tally 7.2 License (F12 > Licensing > Online > Update). |

- In case of Tally 9 Silver: You can install it in the existing 7.2 folder, but it is recommended that it be installed in a new folder. |

|
- In case of Tally 9 Gold: You must install this in a different folder and simultaneously install the license server, to retain 7.2. |
| |
|
|
- License co-existence for all new upgrades will be allowed only for 15 days from the date of purchasing (procuring) the upgrade. |

Can I retain my Tally 7.2 / 8.1 license even after upgrading to Tally 9? |

If you are upgrading to Tally 9 from Tally 7.2 / 8.1, both Tally 9 and 7.2 / 8.1 licenses will work concurrently** on the same machine. However, the two versions will not work on different machines in case of TallySilver (Single-User). In case of TallyGold (Multi-User) license one Sever for Tally 7.2 and Tally 9 should be on the same machine. The nodes are free to access all the versions that are activated on the server. |

** The Co-existence of Tally license for all current “Tally 7.2 / 8.1 to Tally 9” users will continue only until March 31st, 2009. After this date only Tally9 will be active. |

What will happen to Tally 7.2 / 8.1 license if I surrender the license from Tally 9? Can I surrender Tally 7.2 / 8.1 license alone? |

If you surrender Tally 7.2 license, Tally 8.1 and 9 will also go into educational mode. And then: |

If you reactivate 7.2 first, 8.1 and 9 will also get reactivated. |

If you reactivate 8.1 first, Tally 9 gets reactivated automatically, you need to reactivate 7.2 if required. |

If you reactivate 9 first, Tally 8.1 gets reactivated automatically, you need to reactivate 7.2 if required. |

Download Tally 9 Rel 3 Beta - installation file from the website. |

Install Tally 9 on a different folder and activate the license. |

In case of Tally 9 Silver: You can install the same to the existing 7.2 / 8.1 folder. But it is recommended to install it in a new folder. |

In case of Tally 9 Gold: You must install the same in a different folder. You also have to install ‘licenseserver’, to retain 7.2. |

Can I install Tally 9, in the existing 7.2 / 8.1 folder? |

1. If you have upgraded from Tally 7.2 to Tally 9, you can install only Tally 9
Silver in the existing Tally 7.2 folder .
2. If you have upgraded from Tally 8.1 to Tally 9, you cannot install Tally 9 Silver in the existing Tally 8.1 folder.
3. If you have upgraded from Tally 7.2 to 8.1 and are now upgrading to Tally 9, you can have Tally installed in one folder, but not Tally 8.1 and 9 in the same folder. |
