Data migration converts existing data from older versions of Shoper to the current Shoper 9 data format with minimum effort. This enables users to enjoy the enhanced benefits and added features of Shoper 9 with ease. The migration process can be carried out without affecting the ongoing day to day activities of the stores.

During the migration process all masters are migrated to Shoper 9 and there is no need to catalogue them again. The old transactions of Sales, Purchase, Purchase Order, etc. will be available in the current database after migration to Shoper 9. All reports in Shoper 9 can be generated once the migration process is completed. The expected transactions of Sales Slips, Credit Notes, Advance Receipts, etc. created in the earlier version of Shoper can also be migrated to Shoper 9 and are usable in Shoper 9 as is. The discounts recorded in the earlier versions of Shoper will be converted to Sales Promotions in Shoper 9. The configurations and specific system settings done in the earlier versions of Shoper will also be migrated to Shoper 9. Another advantage of this process is that the data of multiple companies can be migrated automatically to Shoper 9.

The migration process generates logs to record the process of data migration. In case of a failure in the migration process, the detailed log is available for reference to make the necessary rectification. Shoper 9 has the capability of automatically detecting Shoper 7.2 version data and migrate it. In the case of data migration at HO, the replication database of each showroom can be migrated sequentially depending upon the availability of time. Shoper 9 HO functions smoothly even if some of the replication databases are in Shoper 7.2 and some of them have been migrated to Shoper 9.
