Shoper 9 has the capability to import and export data between different flavours/installations. The components in the suite can import data extracted from other applications and export data to be used in other applications. The import/export options enable quick capture of data, avoid redundant data entry and ensure comparatively better accuracy of data as less manual intervention is involved.

The data import/export activities between Shoper 9 POS and Shoper 9 HO includes import of item masters, details of price revision and customer information, other general masters, sales promotions/schemes definitions, etc. Similarly, there is a provision to export the item master, customer masters and transaction information from one POS and import the same to a different POS system. This will completely eliminate the effort of re-creating masters and transaction punching at the receiving location. In addition, the system is also capable of importing item and customer masters from text files having compatible structures. Sales promo definitions can be imported from Excel sheets in the appropriate format. The export option includes the in-built standard interface to Tally.ERP 9. Besides these, all reports can be exported to Excel, RTF, HTML format, etc.

Shoper 9 HO has a configurable data import option apart from the standard interface. Import data format can be defined and mapped to Shoper 9 HO data; and then the data can be imported.

The import/export options can also be scheduled apart from running it manually.

In addition to the out-of-the-box capabilities of the suite, a customised data interface can be configured to cater to any data interface need.
