Shoper 9 has comprehensive options to record and perform activities related to the stock purchase process. These options are designed to support the retail business in ordering and receiving the stock items in an easy and simple manner. It also ensures better materials management by the business. The options cater to the needs of individual outlets as well as the supply chain network units like the factory, vendor and distributor. In a single Point of Sale (POS) business, all purchase related activities are done at the same showroom. For units of a retail business network, the purchase management process is centrally managed by the Head Office (HO)/ Distributor. POS units raise their stock purchase requirements either with HO/distributor.

Each flavour of Shoper 9 supports flexible purchase management scenarios. The POS units perform the activities of raising purchase orders (PO)/ indents on vendor/HO/distributor. The POs/indents generated by the POS units can be placed on individual stock keeping unit (SKU) or other attributes. The format of the POs/Indents raised can be configured. The HO/distributor does the consolidation, generation and conversion of POs/indents received from the POS units. They can consolidate regardless of the attribute on which POs are raised. Apart from this, HO/distributor may generate POs independently. Consolidated purchase order is raised on the vendor and ensures that the stock items are distributed to all POS units as per their POs/Indents.

Shoper 9 displays the status of POS/indents for MIS through specific reports. POs/indents generated using other applications can be imported for consolidation/generation purposes provided the data processed is of the appropriate format. The product also gives option to foreclose a PO/indent which cannot be serviced due to some reasons. Similarly, a closed PO/indent can be reopened due to changed circumstances. An option to reprint the PO/indent for record keeping and commercial purposes is also available.
