Accounting of stock coming into a store requires the creation of masters for the purpose of inventory management. Shoper 9 provides for the automatic creation of masters from flat files used in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) (in Shoper this includes Purchase Transaction (PT), Transfer Transaction (TT), Delivery Challan (DC), etc.), by loading either in the goods inwards or DC Import options in the POS application. There is an option to physically verify the stock items before accounting through inwards.
.
Shoper 9 has other options to manage stock movement transactions. It provides for an easy and quick accounting of stock inward movements from the Vendor/Distributor to the POS unit. Stocks can be accounted inwards on the basis of their size attribute too. Stock movements outwards from a POS unit to another are also provided for.
When it is necessary for a POS unit to know about the details of items dispatched from a vendor/distributor or the actual receipt of the item, the PT/ TT File Information option provides these details. It is also possible to find if there are any differences in the stock inwards movements based on their sizes. This is made possible by generating an audit trail (size wise) report of stock movements.
Physical stock take is another key feature. This provides for periodic comparison of physical stock along with their book values, adjusting the discrepancies and clearing negative stock values. The bar coding option is used to automate stock transactions and also provide unique stock identification. Shoper 9 allows for the design of bar code labels and layouts.
