To take advantage of the connected world that is provided by the internet, Tally introduces Tally.NET.

Tally.NET is an environment which works behind the scenes to enable a host of capabilities and remote services to extend the reach of your enterprise and also facilitates your Chartered Accountant to provide services via the Auditors' Edition of Tally.

The features of Tally.NET described below will be fully enabled in the upcoming Tally.ERP 9 as a default capability.

In the first phase, Tally.NET will enable the following services:

. Remote Access

- You can remotely access reports and data, from any other Tally.ERP 9 (which does    not need an additional license), as well as from any internet browser.

- Your Chartered Accountant can audit your books remotely - exclusively available via    the Auditor's Edition of Tally.

. Remote Authentication

- Tally technology supports external users to access your data, locally* and remotely,    only if you have authorized the user to do so. This capability allows your Chartered    Accountant (and his authorised representatives, typically Article Clerks) to access    your company data, once you configure your Tally to permit such access (authorize)    to one or more specific company(s) of yours.

- As these users have not been created by you, Tally.NET manages all these users    globally by performing the required authentication to ensure that these users are    unique and have been authorised by you, whenever such a user attempts to access    your data. Only if you have given explicit permission, will the access be granted. *

- You can also create multiple users who will be managed by Tally.NET. Other Tally 9    users can grant access to these users to specific company data (once they have    authorized the users created by you)

- You are free to share your Company data with others. Only authorised users, like    your Chartered Accountant, will be able to log in with their Username and Password    and access your books locally* and remotely. There is no need for you to send your    username and password for such access.

- In case your Chartered Accountant or the article clerks visit your office and logs in       with their remote user ID, they will be able to access their Auditors' Edition of Tally at    your office! *

. Obtain information via SMS

- You can request for your companies financial and quantitative information on your    mobile phone. Eg. cash balance, stock balance, sales figures etc

. Data Synchronization

- Tally.NET enables data synchronization across your enterprise, without the need for    Static IPs

. Simplified Enterprise Licensing & Support

- You can now acquire a single product license to be used across multiple locations. This    adds to the ease of license purchase, management and control

- Interactions & communication (Eg. Product Support) are better managed as we will    see all your locations as a single entity. This enables a consistent experience and    better knowledge transfer.

. Product Updates and Upgrades

- Product updates & upgrades are included in the Tally.NET annual subscription.

. Online help and support

- Get access to the wealth of our accumulated knowledge in our data base from within    Tally.ERP 9!

- Log in your support queries to us from within Tally.ERP 9. Also see our responses and    resolutions without the need to use another communication system!

. Recruit Tally proficient employees

- You can test the your candidates' knowledge on Tally.ERP 9 with the online tests that    are created and managed by Tally, available online
